Not sure where I picked this opener up, but it opened fair this weekend for a loud fast paced dance club. You really can't believe how many girls are texting or messing on their phones until you start paying attention. Any girl that was close to me I saw on her cell phone, I asked...

"Did he call yet."

it was easy to transition into...

"it's saturday night, you look bored playing on your cell phone"

good opener to me.

any girl i see on a cell phone at a bar or party instantly neg. it seems they are waiting for any guy to come talk to them when they are on their cell phone texting away.

I got some wild ass startled looks though. I guess most girls don't expect to be bothered while on the phone. Seems like the safe thing to do when you don't want to be bothered

They weren't bad looks though, the girls just looked at me, like wow that's a different approach I haven't heard. One was like struggling to get her words out, & was like "no I don't have a boyfriend", to which I followed up with good, what you doing on the phone then on a saturday night in a club & smiled. Alot of them I ended up walking away & coming back after a while when I headed back that way & I saw them smiling & telling their friends. come back with something like "you again, at least your not on your phone this time." 2 were ready to talk at that point, just waiting for me to come back.

BTW anyone got any idea to refine it or make it better? It seemed pretty solid the way it was, but I'm always open for suggestions.

I think that's going to be one of my standard openers for loud techno high energy clubs, with young girls. I generally like opinion openers but those are no good in that enviroment. You need something to grab the attention quick, & it's pretty playful. I'm headed back so got another good one.

That's a different way to open. I like that and may have to try it out soon.

I made up a descent one for instant use... I needed anything to get this girl to put the phone away...almost a obstacle especially if another girl is on the other end of the phone texting her back. Fired for it...

me: Hey are you like a drug dealer always on your phone 24/7?

her: a smile and pause.....Yea actually I am what do you need?
(wasn't expecting that response but i was ready either way)

I just sort of looked at her with the look "wow thats not cool" making a face. She responds, oh im not really a dealer i was just joking...HAHA i just smirked and said yea i know.

Phone never did come back out..
