| Now! here's my problem, I'm having so much difficultly with the easiest question in the world, The "How are you"question.
Okay, so..i get asked this question at least 10 times a week, mostly at work, where i work with hired guns.
I've played around with this question and realized if you ask
"Hey, How's it going/How are you"
you well get..
"pretty good/great, how are you?" or rarely a blah blah blah, which is what i want.
and you'll say...
"good", which i completely avoid now, because that well be the end of the conversation.
Now a day, i rather lie my ass off with a "not so good, I'm sick" or "great, i won two thousand dollars" (which i did). But that's not my problem, because I usually never open with this.
My Problem is the vice-versa of this convo, when I get asked first I usually say "good" when I'm not expecting it. and when I do have something good going on, it's something not good enough for convo, like "I Just finished my exams" or I'm having the same 10 minute conversation with 30 different people.
so does anyone have any guidelines or even tricks around this question, It's not so much that this question is rocket science for me it's just annoying and repetitive, and I know thiers more too it, than just "good".
