Okay, I know many people like XP over Vista - however when the new O/S for Windows come out in 2010 - people will like this new bad boy. Windows 7 originally code name Black Bomb.
With Windows 7 it's easier to use, more reliable and won't crash on ya. So, far with the beta version I haven't got a crash yet.
I'm still testing it out and also to note- the beta version is avalible to people with alot of PC experience. So, Grandma can't use it because she'll think the mouse pointer is acting goofy on her.
However, with the new task bar look - it's super cool! Say you have 10 Internet Explorer or any other windows opened. There's only one icon in the task bar then when you click it - preview of other windows of that program open up. I like it - I like. Now the system tray has neat little icons but it doesn't expand like it does with XP or vista - whcih is kinda a bummer. However, I think there's a way around that with some settings.
Also, what I noticed is that any time Windows Updates critical files - it doesn't always have to restart itself. Using Vista I had to restart any time I install a new driver. Now, I don't! So, I think that's a cool feature.
The Control Panel is neatly organized and has more accessibility. Which is cool. So here's the screen shots.
This the new task bar like I mentioned. It's pretty cool - I think!
Oh, forgot about this little cool thing - Sticky Notes. Yup, just in case you forget to take out the garbage or your nagging girlfriend tells you take the dog out. You can just say, "I'm on it!"
This is kinda cool - it's more fancy now than the Vista version. Nothing really changed but more easier to access to the other features of personalizing your windows experience.
The Windows Explorer interface - kinda got better. I don't see the big deal about it but it looks nice.
Control Panel - I think has got alittle bit more easier to use. I don't know - it's nice.
But over all - mainly, I think Microsoft just put new looks to things that were already existed. But however, it's more reliable and easier to use. I wish I could show you this but I can't.
Say you wanna compare two photos or documents right. You take one task bar and bring it to the left of the screen - then it snaps in the middle. You take the other window and do the same thing and it snaps upside along the other window. What's cool is that I was tinkering around abit - if you wanna maximize a window - just drag the window up towards the screen and it maximizes. Also, if you have like ten windows open and you want to minimize everything but the one your working on. Just take the window - hold on the right mouse button - shake the window a bit then all other windows are minimized.
Cool ass shit huh? So, far so good! Hopefully Microsoft won't let us down this time!
