Hey guys, I tried to make a relevant opinion opener to my life

I'm pretty new to this so let me know what you think..

PUA: Hey, could you settle something for me? I know this is really random but just bear with me... Would you ever date some one younger than you?
Girl: Yes/no/blahhh
PUA: (DHV) Cool because i was studying with my friend at this coffee shop and i noticed this beautiful girl working at the counter, so once my friend left i got talking with her for a while. And we really hit it off, you know when you just have great chemistry with some one right off the bat? Kinda like that.. but I was a little turned off because she told me she was younger than me. (true story) I don't know I can be pretty picky, what do you think?

Then i could tease her according to her answer

I'm a 19 so i don't think this question would seem too out of the ordinary

oh and i would only use this in the day because i'm too young for clubs/bars

dude i like it. youll be congruent w/ urself and they will ask u your age so be ready!! but its a good opener otherwise. Actually u can use this to open a new gambit. Nice opener though

Was that your opener? Or was it somewhere in the routine? I could see it working if it wasn't an opener and you two had already been talking!

It's sounds like a major DLV!! You basically said that you're a nobody...and asked if she would settle for what ever you were....you didn't even refer to yourself as a man, WTF!!!

Unless you have confidence oozing out of your eyeballs and you spiked her drink I could never see this working as an opener...but thenagain the point of an opener is to generate a conversation....whatever is working for you dude!! I'll never use it!

I'm not sure I understant what you mean.. Is it an DLV becasue I am asking if she would date a younger guy (which could be considered me and come across as needy) or because i'm asking a question that guys should simply know?

I would be asking this to some one on my campus, definitely with in the 18-21 range, and the girl in the story was 17. Try to elaborate for me, why would i be a "nobody"?

-ASKING-Instead of being alpha and insinuating how you want her to act, you are instead looking for her permission of acceptance...Major DLV

-SETTLE-Basically means, not striving to achieve what is perfect in your eyes. Could be considered a pretty bad insult if not used in the right context...You used it in context to yourself! Major DLV!

-SOMETHING-Usually not that interesting or pivitol kinda word! UNLESS YOU USE IT TO DESCRIBE YOURSELF!!! You referred to yourself as a 'something' instead of a man or a person! You may not have meant it like that, but you still said it! Major DLV!

-YOU/ME-This depends on who's reading it but you referred everything to you. If you hadn't thrown this little word it wouldn't be that stupid of a question...but you directed every DLV to yourself when you referred to yourself! Major DLV!

I understand that you were referring to her dating a younger guy like yourself, but that really shouldn't be a question you have to worry about anyway...you're still you...you shouldn't have to bend or look for acceptance from other people! The Question itself wasn't a DLV, it was how the question was presented. Tonality and body language are 2 things that have a HUGE impact on our subconscious feelings.

Another thing I never said you were a nobody...you just presented yourself as one. If it was reworded it might have potential...I would have gone more along the lines of "What kinda guys do you usually go for?" then throw in a soft neg to her response, even if she describes someone like you(it shows you can laugh at yourself). Another on could be "Would you ever date and older guy?" This way you're not asking if she would ever date you!! She doesn't know your age, so she would give you an answer based on what she really thinks.

If you still have issues seeing where I'm coming from...Then get some help. Get over if I too honest...you asked for an opinion right? You should be happy I didn't just tickle your asshole then!

Diesel... The opener is "Could you settle something for me" not "Could you settle for something like me"... Field test the opener eddy but don't ask if they'll answer it, just say "settle something for me".

Well...shit, my bad! I'm glad you called me out on that Lestat!

Disregard what I was saying then...it doesn't apply here at all!

Now that this has been brought into a better light, the opener itself is pretty solid and obviously will never get old.

One thing though, is I would try to leave out the FTC and try to simply show that it's there with a little body rocking, etc. I don't really think FTC's are that neccessary during the day if you have enough confidence and great body language!

I like to take these openers and slightly modify them with each set. I personally would throw out the part with this being a random question, because it might not be until you point that out. I also like to be more general, instead of would YOU, it would be do WOMEN. If she says yes or no, be sure to have a neg you could throw in. Try different versions of this and let us know how it goes. Don't forget, it's only to initiate a chat, you're not going to win her over in the opener so don't make it too complicated.
