So for V-day, I bought a busted ipod for like $5 on ebay. It still had a box and stuff (I think they sell it for spare parts). But I gave it to my girlfriend and she was happy. But when she opened it, it didnt work and I said I'll go back on ebay and get it returned. Of course I lied about that part, but she would never know. After a day I told her the ebay account seller closed his account and I cant get my money back. She was sad, but said not to worry about it since it was the thought that counts. I'm still surprised this worked, but it's worth a try since it was only 5 bucks. Saved me some serious cash with a real one! I'm a broke college student =(

1 - Told the girl I was flying to visit her for her birthday. Never bought a ticket. Told her my flight got cancel last minute and bumped over to a different day. But really bought a weekday ticket since it was $100 cheaper. She was sad, but not my fault right!!!


2 - Did the ipod thing. She made me buy another one... with extended warranty. Ended up costing extra.


This is useful to cut corners on certain levels.
