I think that the alpha concept is a little bit misunderstood. Don't get me wrong, I think your post make a lot of sense. But, I just want to say this, I am in total control of my on life, don't take crap from anyone, I'm doin quite good in my game at the moment, but I don't consider myself an alpha. An alpha is a leader, the leader of the pack if you want to put it that way. Personally I don't think that every PUA need to strive after becoming an alpha male in order to be a good PUA. Thats just my oppinion, I might be totally off.
An alpha doesnt have the be a leader 100% of the time, this is a misconception in my opinion. Its the ability to take the lead/control of the group whenever you deem it neeeded.
I personally consider someone who always tries to boss people around and be in control 100% as insecrure. This may seem odd at first glance but its because they are affraid that if they let other people give input they will lose their status, therefore, I think those sort of people dont beleive they deserve that level of power.
Madals
I agree 100%.
When I was in the Army (infantry of all things), the people you WANT to follow are the ones who can listen to input. They know they don't know everything, but they're willing to listen to their subordinates' input from prior experience and/or training. If that input isn't sufficent to get the job done, they go with their own instincts.
I'm alive because I had the opportunity to CHOOSE who I was led by. Some people I knew were not so fortunate, and the team leader accidentally got shot by his own. (pending investigation... 5 years later)
Apply that to being a PUA... your buddy wants to go to some bar because he's had prior experience there that leads him to believe that it's THE place to meet girls, and more importantly, TO HAVE A FUN TIME. You judge this experience based on your own and make a judgement call. You say, 'sure, let's check it out' or you say, 'i know an even better place, let's go'.
THAT'S being alpha, IMHO.
