I feel like everybody is hating on this - with very JUST reasons - but I think this could actually work.
If you think about it, you might do this to one of your friends you know... You spot them in public, you get their attention, and say hey...
What if you're opener was this:
(Hit them, you can even reach your arm out and lightly grab or touch their arm or shoulder)
YOU: Hey, I just wanted to act like we were best friends and I knew you or something... (with a big smile)
You never know how that might transition after that... It's not about the opener right? It's about the game after the opener... That could be a VERY alpha male opener and with a smile and the right body language you could exert confidence...
Just my opinion...

I think the issue here is this: Much of the community is opening up to the idea of becoming a natural or at least being more free flowing (functional/situational openers). On the other hand, this opener is not only a pre-mediated pre-scripted routine (and thats fine, I still use those) but its also a bit much. It could work. But 9/10 times, Id bet the guy who did it spur of the moment would be better off than the guy who does it as a routine.
