A cute HB8 at the front desk of my health club and I have been exchanging just a few extra comments when I come in over the summer. I've probed a couple times for interest, quickly, and here eyes had a "maybe" feel to them. Shes about 20 years younger than I. Yesterday, I walked in and she opens with "this is my last week here I'm going back to school...." Tipping her hand that I was someone she might miss just a bit. We talked briefly but its an awkward place for conversation. I'm not invested but would it be better to give her my number or ask for hers?

You definably need to get her number. But you NEVER give her your number. This is because that gives her the choice to call you back or not. If not, you are shit out of luck. So you need to work it up with small talk since the opener is basically already broken and you need to seise the conversation by saying something like "Oh well i'm off schedule for my work out. We should finish this conversation over the phone." make it a point not to ask if you can finish it because you don't wanna leave her with options to say no. I'd say give it a shot and best of luck to you my friend.

Thanks. I asked for a couple reasons. First, I'm new and want to know the general practice. Second, I have a friend my age, 46, who has been picking up women continuously for about 30 years, and still prefers 20 to 25 year olds, whom he has no problem bedding. He told me he likes to give out his number, and, if they call back, you're in. He's been doing it so long and knows he has so many options, he even limits his age range, his geographic distance (20 min by car), and can pick up HB10s anywhere. He was born with with all the right instincts, charm and looks. I knew him in high school. For me, like most guys, we have to take time out to learn the techniques.

If she doesn't call back who cares? you went with it and was direct about your own feelings...Rejection is better then regret...
