Firstly, Hey community!

Think this would be the forum for it, if not newbie questions I guess.

Since joining this forum a couple weeks ago (woo a n00b) I've mainly been reading up a lot of gaining confidence, "AAE" way of thinking etc (great post Rye Lee!)

I've missed so many oppurtunitys to talk to a HB because I'm just a bit afraid and ontop of that I have no idea what to say.

To the point of the post - Everyday I get the train to get in to work, the other day I sat down and notice and HB9 sitting to my side and opposite. I wasn't really paying attention, then I looked up and she was staring at me, shared eye contact a second then she looked away (me just being a usual male takes this as she's checking me out )

Probably see her on the train some other point ... Do ya think it'd be worth starting a conversation? If so how'd you do it? Any help at all would be great!

I've talked to a random girl once before on the train home, and that ended up as a train wreck

i hear you man, i have spent looots of time in the trains and i believe i lost many opportunities to talk to HB when i had chances to. well, what i'd suggest to you is what i am trying to do since few days now: find an opener you are confortable with, and try it... the one i've been using lately is the lie one (hey, can you tell me a good lie? i need to use one not to see my sister's new boyfriend tonight), it does work great. some girls are surprised, others smile, sometimes laugh and start thinking of one...

there are lots of eye contacts in the train, it's sometimes difficult to figure out what they mean... yet, you can easily realize when an eye contact means 'you're cute, you seem nice' things like that... if she really stared at you in a good way, then there's lots of chances that she will be happy that you start to talk to her next time... and look for IOIs then!

i admit that what is making me unconfortable when i open in trains is the proximity with other passengers... i mean, i'm working on the girl not to think i'm approaching, going under the radar, but i can't help thinking those guys around see that right away and eventually say something that will ruin this up. i have to not give a fuck about them... play them too, im working on that.

When Im on a train, I just smile a lot and am polite, and if a girl gives me a good look, I will just engage directly in conversation and try to be my usual humorous self. Sometimes it works, sometimes it dont. I scored a hotty norwegian girl on the way to Roskilde Music Festival last summer tho, shit faced on the train and she gave me a funny look, and by the time we got to the festival grounds she was basically mine. Followed me to camp and fucked my brains out later that night..damn she was good in bed.

Haha, I don't think I'd be able to do that Charlie 'specially with so many people looking like the other guy said haha.

We get off at the same stop... Guess it's just down to me say something and do something

have to work up confidence for that first, even if girls like to be talked to, still tough
