How do I get a six pack? Like foods, how often to work out, how often to eat, is it possible?
It is absolutely possible you just have to work hard. As a personal trainer I work with many clients who all have many different goals, but the six pack is the goal that you commonly will have to work the hardest to achieve, but once you get it, nothing makes you feel better, it is by far the most important piece needed for a man to have a good body.
A hot six pack is about 80% diet and 20% workout, what most people have problem with is that extra layer of bodyfat around the gut area, you might even look thin but your hypodermis (innerskin layer) is too thick (stored fat) so the abs lying underneath simply don't show. You may even have abs strong enough and all you need is diet and cardio to burn off those last pounds. Enough with the anatomy, here is what you should do.
When it comes to diet, I recommend, Mypyramid.gov, there is a link here (hope it works)
http://www.mypyramid.gov
If you type in you information (weight, height etc) you will get a diet plan suitable for you, this website is great, I recommend you follow it, I visit this website together with clients to help them structure a diet plan and it has proved to be very effective. The main thing you need to look out for is saturated fats (read food labels), they are high in read meat (four legged animals), eggs, fried foods, and dairy (you can still eat nonfat dairy) I reached my perfect six pack a few months after I cut out saturated fats from my diet. Oh yeah and fyi you should eat every 3-4 hours, and not within 2 hours of bed time.
When it comes to training, regular crunches won't be enough, I recommend you to do some form of cardio (like running) for at least 45 minutes twice a week. And work out at a gym 3-4 times a week, don't forget to workout your entire body for best result.
The ab exercises you should do should be of large variation, crunches, leg lifts etc. To get you in to the right spirit of ab workouts I recommend you to do the classic 8 minute abs once everyday, it is actually quite good, (just search it on you tube).
When you get stronger you can start doing leg lifts while hanging from a pull-up bar, and do variation of that exercise, like rotating your legs 360degrees while hanging. Work hard and stick to your diet, get back to me if you have questions or tell me about your results. Remember this won't happen over night, even after you burned the fat, tuned the abs it might be a while before they show, beause your skin have been stretched, it takes a month or two to adjust to you new hot body
Good luck.
