how do you repair the damage done from being an AFC w/ HB?

Say you were once clueless about the game and came on to needy/aggressive and HB sees you as a AFC. But after a bit of time off you learned a few things and discovered you had potential with HB8 and HB9's. If you were still keeping in touch w/ said HB, how do you fix this perception of an AFC she has of you?
