I’m hoping for some advice on where I went wrong with this set. The story is fairly long as I didn’t want to leave out any details. Your comments are much appreciated.

This occurred a few nights ago while I was out with a friend. There were 5 girls lined up right behind a pool table, each fairly attractive. I decided to go play pool with my buddy as an excuse to get close to them for conversation. As I was setting up for the break one of the girls kicked my pool stick causing me to scratch on the break. Clearly a sign of interest and an easy opening.

I looked over to the girl that kicked my pool-stick and playfully scolded her for causing the scratch. I made some comments about how she could cost me that game and could even result in dent in my massive ego. She then gave me puppy eyes and tried to give me a high-five, which I responded with further playful scolding stating “I don’t give out high-five’s for free, if you want my high-five I better hear cheering the rest of the game”. I then made a little small talk with the rest of the girls ignoring the one who kicked my pool stick.

My turn at the pool table came up and I resumed the game. During the game I made sure every shot I sank resulted in cheers from the 5 chick audience finally. I even pulled off a no-look shot by staring at the girls from the side while making a straight shot in the corned pocket (yes I am decent enough at pool). Needless to say there was still interest up to this point. After the game approached the group again in order to finish the conversation.

When I approached the group, my target (the chick who kicked my stick) was engaged in conversation. To get her attention I addressed the other members of the group with a funny story. I used Mystery’s “Gay Cat” story and it work wonders everyone laughed and focused their attention on me. Thinking this was my opportunity for more push/pull, I said I was going to play another pool game hoping they would stop me. For some reason they could care less about my playing another game so my decision was to play another game while ignoring them as punishment.

During the 2nd pool game no other guys approached them and they appear bored. I thought my plan was working however they made no attempts to gain my attention even though I was right in front of them. The game ended and still no response from them. I assumed there must have been a screw up somewhere in my game and I left the set. My assumption is that if there still was any interest one of them would have tried to gain my attention while I was right in front of them.

Where did I go wrong? Should I have approached a third time? Did I take too long?

Well try not to eject out of a set until you're totally blown out. By having the "not give a fuck" attitude will help you out a lot...
