What do girls think about guys who use PUA techniques to get them? I rarely use routines, I guess it's natural game with a PUA mindset and frame. I think a girl I'm gaming might have seen that I was looking at a PUA site while typing something into youtube, I *-closed her later but I want to know what girls think of it for the future anyway.

As long as you aren't being a liar and a jerk then they don't care. I tend to tell most girls exactly what I do and they have no problem and often give me their numbers after I've talked to them about how stuff works for half an hour. The reason they don't care is because I'm honest and a nice guy. If you're a lying sleezebag who is only interested in sleeping with as many girls as possible, then don't let them find out because if you told them you were a nice guy and really you're not, then they're not gonna be happy. If you tell them up-front that you're not looking for more than fun and excitement and whatever else may happen, then they won't care and they'll still be happy to sleep with you and won't hate you in the morning.

The key is honesty.

Nicely put Rye Lee. A good PUA is proud of what he does and should not be afraid to tell the girls he is a PUA, some girls even find that attractive.

And as Rye said, as long as you aren't being a creepy scum bag or playing the game like you'll only win if you 'beat' the woman then the girls should love you.

I practice the female aspect of PU and you have NO IDEA how hard it is to even find a boy I can find attractive. I have to work to try and make them attractive to me.

PUAs? I love them. Most of them. There are a few here and even in my lair, that I severely disagree with or simply don't like (the one in my lair for throwing lighters at my head). The boys here though, most of them, I like quite a bit. I even have some on Facebook and/or MSN.

Girls love you boys. You rescue us from the AFCS we've had to put up with. As long as you're not a creep or a jerk.

I totally agree with Cin.. I love you guys!!! In fact, I wish I ran into more of you guys when I went out. I also wish that I had PUA friends as well.

Two main reasons why I PUAs > AFCs:

1. PUAs keep it interesting. If you've been hit on enough by AFCs, you realize that their approach, conversation, dates are all the some - boring!! All other things aside, PUAs are better at creating rapport, or at least keeping things interesting. After I started visiting these forums, I don't even bother engage in AFC conversation anymore.

2. PUAs make their intentions clear. Maybe the other girls will disagree with me, but AFC that I've met and heard about from my gf's are usually not good at closing or are afraid to reveal their true intentions, so they end up hanging out with you for two or three weeks or implying that they want to have maybe something serious with you (knowing this will get them into our pants) when really all they wanna do is sleep with you. After two or three weeks or LONGER, at that point, a girl often can't help but be like.. what do you mean you're not interested in me romantically??? And thats how you get the "guys are assholes who just want to get laid mentality". I should hope that a PUA will be able to close without misrepresenting their intentions.

However, there is one type of PUA thats not cool.. as cin said, guys who try to "beat" a woman. I would guess that guys who have faced a lot of rejection and are bitter against women would become PUAs to try to get back at us, but its really obvious and gives the whole community a bad name.

I'm also going to have to agree with the other girls who have replied. I have only met one PUA (that I know of) in the "real world," but many of the things I read on here make me think, "Now, that's the way to start a conversation." Other things on here make me think, "Does this crap actually work?" But, for the most part, I think these are good ways to start conversations and possibly even get to know someone.

And again, I agree with the other women that it's the sleeze balls that give it a bad name, but hopefully those are few and far between. Be upfront about intentions, and it's all gravy.

What about the poor guys (like myself ) who are kinda shy and trying to work up their confidence just by even talking to girls … Are you able to tell the difference between a guy trying to improve his ability to talk to women and a guy who is just a AFC lol? Or would you just blow them both off mistaking the other guy for a AFC? I know I've got a long way to go and stuff on this definitely helps with things you can use for starting a conversation! (Hardest thing tbh… lol )

You'd be surprised on how well the shyness thing can work sometimes, def girls, but even for guys too. I mean, you still have to approach a girl, but personally, if I found a guy attractive (not conventionally attractive but attractive to me) and he was sweet and shy at the same I would find that really cute and maybe give him a shot. I think you can def work the shy angle with some girls but you should learn to pick out girls who are slightly more alpha or have a dominant streak. But it should def be a cute shy not an awkward shy - if you don't understand watch some movies or tv shows where the main character is a nerd or a shy guy that gets the girl.
