On the net everyone has some sort of cool photo. Being different and unique is very hard to do with the giant amounts of people out there trying to do the exact same thing...
My pic [see avatar pic] got me alot of attention when i first posted it up (dies down when you leave it up) on msn and facebook etc.
The way I see it, is that everyone is trying to be different its really hard to be the exception to that so you attract attention. For instance if u go agaist the 'flow' its to have a normal picture (which then makes you boring) but at the same time if you do somthing really 'cool' so is 80% of the rest of the people, catch 22.
Another thing you can do is on ure personal info be funny. But again so is everyone else. For example, my personal profile on Facebook says im a 'Maoist' as my religion.
People are happy to go crazy like that over the net because there are not much consequences because of the anomyty and lack of physical interaction, thats why you dont get AA with chicks on the internet, even though essentially your going into a single set strait to Isolation without any body language and tonality to support your projected image. It is harder, you have to religh on much more personal things, humor, convosation etc.
If you figure out how to peacock on the net then pls tell me! Im all ears. Oh also when ever your at a friend house or somthing get them to post stuff to you to increase your social proof
