ive heard a couple of famous pua's say that us people in the community have found it and utilized it because we are intelligent. but is that really true?

im really intrested so anyone who has some spare time please take this iq test and post your results i got 112 - above average on the verge of bieng high inteligence. im also wondering how old most of you guys are? im 15.

That was depressing. 124 points. (Earlier tests have told me from 134-147. and this is my vanity speaking.... )

I don't think PUAs are necessarily more intelligent than others.
PUAs have just chosen to focus on an area not everybody focuses on.


But yeah. You'll probably find both kinds (both high IQ and less high IQ) everywhere. I doubt the PU community is very much different from any other gathering of people.

Anyways IQ tests are inherently subjective, although this one is better than most I've seen. There is always a bias and a large number of factors that should be taken into account such as age and geographical location.

As for whether or not more intelligent people learn PUA, I would tend to reason that would be right. People with a thirst for knowledge and self development will most definitely have a greater capacity and breadth of education than those who remain idle in ignorant bliss. Learned knowledge is a part of IQ and I would suppose those taking the initiative to acquire it would tend to score higher.

edit: I re-did it but going as fast as possible and got 139. I guess I can join their club now, yay.

Anyway, the community is a diverse group and I think the intelligence is distributed in the same way as everywhere else. But... IQ does not say anything about your intelligence, only your ability to see patterns and think logically.

I think the community tends to attract a lot of socially inept nerds, who don't have strong social skills but tend to be on the higher IQ side of the spectrum, so I would guess PUA community skews a little bit more to the intelligent side.

I believe there is a link between pua's and higher inteligence. Mastering the skills needed to be a pua requires a sufficient amount of brain power, so you probably won't see many people with a below average iq master the art. Of course it is possible, it just isn't as likely.

I'm pretty certain that anybody can train themselves up to around 150 IQ-points. Given the right type of entrainment. Since it's just about that, being trained in recognizing patterns, spatial training, and mathematical stuff. (Like the usual test which goes 1,1,2,3,5,8,? ?.... the fibonacci sequence.)

And now I go on about how that test was shit, since I don't consider knowing the currency in Brazil relevant to testing Intelligence. (That's a knowledge-based question.)...

But back to topic, I doubt you'll see posts in here with anything less than, say....105.
Since, as I mentioned, the people most likely to click into this topic are the ones who already have some idea and enjoy the thought of being intellectually superior.

I personally hate being wrong, even more since I usually am right.

bieng a pua is spotting patterns in social dinamics just as we would spot patterns in a iq test and calculating if you risk certain things as we calculate the chance of choosing the right answer or whatever lol.

however i think that most people would only click on it to show they are interlectually inteligent however the less smart people i think would make a point of the fact you dont have to be that clever to start pickup. unless there are no under average people here. it has many variables so this thread will probly be innacurate thanks for your thoughts. LOL
