| I'm going to clear up a few things and some reasons why so many new guys run into problems with girls that they know in their regular lives, who they think are flirting with them and really interested in them.
People flirt with other people for reasons other than just trying to hook up with them. For many people it is a form of release and a way of keeping their lives from stagnating while in relationships. This is a healthy way of stopping themselves from becoming bored, dissatisfied, or depressed while in a monogomous relationship such as a marriage, without cheating and ruining that relationship and their lives.
Just because someone flirts with you doesn't mean that they mean anything by it. I flirt with everyone, gay men, fat women, old women, married women, hot straight single women, doesn't matter because most of the time it doesn't mean anything. Flirting is fun, creates positive energy and is uplifting, but doesn't necessarily mean that they desire to take it any further, cause I definitely won't do anything with the gay men, fat women, old women, or most married women (there's exceptions when she isn't happy with her relationship). This is why so many guys get frustrated that they can't get a girl who they've decided is interested in them just because they thought she gave him 3 IOIs!
