bruce lee is the definitive end-all badass of all time. if he were alive today, he would outgame every MPUA, lay a dozen consecutive HB11s and then proceed to kick the shite out of chuck norris for good measure. just my opinion.

I am afraid to cut my toenails in fear that I will return to my AFC state if I do so.

Bruce is right, the interpretation is wrong though... In understanding that concept he speaks you need to commit to one thing 1st, from that your natural growth will go into other areas.

The commitment to one style only serves as a foundation to everything you do, put in martial arts terms; he learned Wing Chun thoroughly before he went into other martial arts. So to say don't commit ONLY shows impatience. On the flip-side, he saying don't stick with one thing once your done your growth because that will only stagnate you.

Well, Lee did kick Chuck Norris' ass...
And he had an approach to martial arts which I believe is the healthiest approach to any art form.
Venusian or martial, the ability to see styles more as sources of learning than definite roads to travel will enable most of us to explore more, experience more, and thus also evolve more.

One of my first thoughts about Style, when I read the book a few years ago, was that his way of not choosing <i>one</i> style, but rather learning from all the gurus, reminded me of the way Bruce Lee did with his Jeet Kune Do. Where he went around and took what was most effective from each and every martial arts.

In Zen Buddhism, you'll often hear "detachment"! People often mistake this concept as an advice to not attach yourself in the first place but this would be a mistake. The idea is to attach yourself with vigor!!! But when the time is right, detach yourself without regrets.

In early times in Japan, bamboo-and-paper lanterns were used with candles inside. A blind man, visiting a friend one night, was offered a lantern to carry home with him.

Bruce Lee would not be a PUA. It is going against the entire foundation of practically every Eastern and Western Philosophy. Think about that.

Remember, forcing things is not the way to go. Approaching females simply to pick one of them up is creepy at best. With enough work on being who you are they will approach you. The world works in mysterious ways. It is all about energy. The problem is that most of you are giving off the wrong energy. Two words that will change your life - LOVE YOU. Not the arrogant fake love. Nope. The kind of love that causes you to fill the world with waves of love. Sounds goofy until you put it into practice.

Bruce Lee was also straight - unlike many of the so called "gurus" of pickup. Once again, think about that.

The person, "Bruce Lee" was a pick up artist. I can assure you this.

Secondly . . . it's only "forced" if you do not have a natural tendency to be drawn to women. If I see a gorgeous girl, you would need to force me to stay away from her. So think about why you consider approaching a girl, a "forced" act.
