New to the game here, trying to expand my social circuit, but i have one massive sticking point. I can open fine, but once ive run through my opener i just totally freeze up, im not nervous i just have no idea what to say.
This happens with anyone, guys and girls, and im having real problems making real friends because i can never go far enough to get to know them. At the moment im just relying on old school friends to go out, but i still havent really befriended anyone yet.
If anyone has any ideas on what i can do to get past this id be really greatful : )

Bring the paper out with you and presto. Problem solved. _________________ "HE WHO MAKES A BEAST OF HIMSELF GETS RID OF THE PAIN OF BEING A MAN"

It can be the weather or how long the line is taking to order your coffee what ever. The more you do this the better off you will be when it comes to drawing upon topics to talk about when you run out of things to say.

Also, practice pushing conversations past the opener. If you run your opener dry, continue talking even with small stuff.
"How do you guys all know each other"
"Where are you all from"
"Did you see this recent movie that just came out?"
Any of these will test your conversational prowess and increase your skill at striking up small talk.
Best of luck,
