Heres the deal. I went to this new years eve party and met a HB9.
It went like this:

Me: Happy New year!
HB9: Hey what kind of drink are you drinking? Can I taste it?
Me: Here (let her take a sip).
HB9: Wow it taste really good!
Me: Thanks. So will you kiss me at midnight? Everybody does it during midnight.
HB9: LOL

Danced a little bit...

Took my chance and went in for kiss. She kisses back. Made out for a minute.

HB9: I have to go look for my friend.
Me: Ok, but before you go, can you give me your number so that I can call you next year?
HB9: OK

2 days later, I text her,
Me: Hey how are you?

No reply. So I call her and left a voice message. it went like this:

Me: Hey HB9, this is Me, they guy from the New years eve party, I just have a quick question to ask you, if you have time, please give me a call back. Talk to you soon.

1 hour later, she text me:
HB9: Hi Me!...I know it sounds stupid but do you mind to send me a picture of yourself? Just to remind me your face....
Me: (Sent a face shot to her) Hi can I have your picture too?

No response after that.

1 day later, I call her again and left another voice message:

Me: Hey HB9, I'm just wondering if you received my face picture? I don't look good on that picture, hehe. I'm sorry I couldn't meet up with you that night at the party. I would like to get to know you better. I'm thinking we should go out someday next week to have a drink or coffee and just chat. Let me know if you are interested. Talk to you soon. Bye.

No response after that.

So what's the deal? What should I have done?

You shouldn't have chased her, you should have gotten her to chase you. Example, don't ask her to kiss you at midnight, tell her that if she's good maybe she can kiss you at midnight, but no promises.

so what now? what's the next step given the current situation? I really like this girl and would like to not just fuck her, but make her my girlfriend. (I know I'm being AFC here)

Well, basically everything you did was wrong. I don't think there's a lot you can do to recover, without completely changing your game, and even then it might be too late for this particular girl. She most probably asked for your picture because she didn't remember you at all. At this point, you should really concentrate on picking up books. Read a couple of them and you'll be on your way to success. There's a lot of good recommedations here on these forums. Good luck.
