Hey guys

Got any tips to help cool off before a presentation, i have a 15 minute one coming up and i tend to forget alot of what i'm going to say. I'm usually better one on one with people and at making my own material but i need to say things that i have researched.

-try leaning against something
-when you look up stare at the wall
-speak slowly
-looking people in the eye, even if they are friends will PSYc you out ... so dont
-dont even try to control your breathing

i never do a good job either but the feeling you get after you get it done is one of the best. i always get in the ZONE

Know your material. Practice until you have the content memorized. Practice what your going to say and how your going to say it. I'd really recommend watching some great presenters and mimicking their style. I use Steve Jobs for inspiration.

Dude...I totally disagree with you on some points. In my experience it comes down to this, and I do improv.

-speak slowly
-look at the wall sametime if your comfortable look people in the eyes or look @ thier faces- it makes you more relatable and human
-Don't control your breathing but do- meaning...deep belly breaths each time your going say something
-forget what your going say? Pause and look around, it makes it look like you know what your talking about
-Move around if you can
-Use your tonality and facial expressions to get the point across
-If its just a normal presentation and not a formal one...don't be afraid to engage the audience (half the time I call out one of my friends for not paying attention- its funny/engaging & it relaxes you)
- Use your hands to emphasize points, control them so though- don't have them flailing the whole time.
-if you forgot something...don't panic, just go back to it or forget it all together- they don't know you did something wrong till you place attention on it
-SMILE!

Finally, look@ it as something fun- that nervousness is just misunderstood excitement. :)
