Do the differences between a natural and an AFC always boil down to confidence? Lemme know... thanks!

I would have to say no. An AFC gets a lot of practice at saying the wrong things and never changes. I can only speak about my experience with naturals, but I'm pretty certain this follows through to all/most naturals. They genuinely do not care whether they get the girl... They know that the outcome of one woman's interaction is meaningless when at the end of the night 30 more will be fighting over him. They do not give a shit, and act like it. They'll walk right up to a HB10 and say "that hat is ugly.", when an AFC would say, "can I buy you a drink please?"

Women intuitively pick up on this independence (opposite of neediness) and are drawn to it.

I think it does boil down to confidence. Most AFCs I've seen including myself before I got into PU, are terrified of HBs. I had a friend who got nervous just being in the presence of a HB. AFCs give more value to the chick and what others think of them than themselfs and this shows even when they do muster up what little courage they have to talk to a chick and I don't have to tell you have that usually ends up.

So IMO yes, Confidence is everything. If you don't feel confident about what your doing chances are your not going to achieve it.

Does everything boil down to confidence? Just finished watching 007 in Goldfinger after gorging myself on x-mas ham and other bounties, and after watching Mr. Bond one would probably agree that the secret to not being an AFC is utter confidence. The problem really shouldn't be about the differences between being a kick ass secret agent and ordinary girl-less guy, but more in lines of what is confidence and how is it obtained.

Okay, so what is confidence then? To a burgeoning PUA I imagine its a combination of tactics (openers, closers, etc) and in-field practice. Confidence comes when your style of the game (mystery method, annihilation method, NLP, etc) becomes so rehearsed that it becomes unconscious and just a natural part of you.

The hard part is the practice part. A lot of AFC's spend too much time on the computer and not enough time in the real world, so just go out there and try and sarge and you will start to notice that confidence creeps up when you least expect it.

The BIGGEST difference between a natural and an AFC is that the natural goes for it, and the AFC doesn't. From what I've heard about a lot of bootcamps, several guys that go on them (believing that they're total chode AFCs) actually have all the confidence they need to pick up any given girl in a bar; they just need "permission" to approach and escalate. They need to be told that it's okay. Once they actually start going for it, their results skyrocket. And they have a strong tendency to get laid on bootcamp.

If you watch a natural in action, it's obvious that he isn't nervous, because he's used to doing what he's doing. He's done it hundreds of times before, and he knows he's going to do it a couple more thousand times in his life. He knows that he's attractive, and he doesn't "need" the girl he's talking to. That doesn't mean he's going to be a dick to her, it just means that he won't try to get her attracted to him or seek her approval. He'll engage her, but he's obviously not needy when he does so.

I would say that I'm a true natural. I have always had girls in my life and girls just seem to gravitate towards me. So what is the secret of the natural? I would say that it's all about having a lifestyle. I don't use and have never used any PUA tacticts like PUA lines, disqualifiers, FTCs, negs or C&F etc... I have actually never understand about why to use them when I can get a hottie (SHB10) interested in me without ever using them.

I just love women and they are my true passion in my life. If you could meet me you would also say that I'm a true romantic. That is how much I love women, their beauty and to be with them. Girls also notice this in me and you could possibly also call me a "nice guy". Don't get this wrong. There is a difference between a "nice guy" and a "nice guy". A true natural is not afraid of showing a girl that he likes her. I can even be extremely direct when I approach a girl with body language and stuff like that. I'm onest with my feelings for her. One thing that is also a big difference is that I totally know who I am and what I want and still I'm not a nice guy that is clingy, needy or only thinking of getting her to have sex with me my manipulating her into doing something that she is not comfortable of doing. I want to know who that interesting person is that has attracted me so much. There is a big difference between being a true natural and being an AFC... One of the biggest faults that a AFC has in my opinion is that he is affraid of going for what he wants and therefore put himself in the LJBFs zone instead of having girls like him and not putting himself in the LJBFs zone. It's not the girl that puts guys in the LJBF zone but the AFCs himself by not being direct and serious with his emotions. He is both letting him and her down and I don't like that.

Most AFCs suck with girls and therefore are told and think that they personality sucks and that they should change to become a PUA. This is the wrong way in my opinion. Instead of changing who you are you should go inside you and completely understand who you are and what you want. Have standards. It's not sure you want to become a natural but it's totally up to you. In the wrong hands it's something that can be missused and I don't like that. What one man can do so can the other...

Anyone can be interested in the Seduction community and have connections to it. A natural can know about it and use its acronyms without trying to be a PUA. The main difference is that a natural doesn't use PUA tricks and methods to seduce a girl. A natural seduces a girl naturally.

Maybe the reason there's a battle over jargon is this:

I already knew how to seduce women before I discovered the community. I learned without using any of these terms. All the men I knew who were good with women didn't use any of these terms. And when I first heard them, they only served to confuse me because they were either total inventions of new concepts (the AFC) or words used to replace perfectly good existing words (set instead of group). Add to it the fact that most of the words were either depersonalizing (HB) or military slang (target), and they take all the fun out of it.

I mean, for fuck's sake, who the fuck would ever say "I k-closed her," instead of "I kissed her?" Where is the advantage to jargon there?

Jargon is fucking dangerous for many reasons. Language shapes thought. I'll let Wikipedia explain.

I love all you guys, and LOVE the fact that there are so many cool guys learning how to make girls happy, and make themselves happier. But here is a simple rule to follow:

If you use PUA jargon, people will think you are a fucking nerd. Not in a good way, either. And I mean, it's instant and irreversible. You're far better off talking about Dungeons and Dragons (one of my favorite games), because at least that's innocuous. PUA slang makes you sound like you are trying to trick people, and people don't like being tricked.

As always, decide for yourself. This is just my experience. Or find out for yourself. Go out tonight, and when you see a hot girl, walk up to the coolest looking guy you see in the club and tell him, "I'd like to f-close that HB9.5. Think I'll extract the target from the obstacles and isolate, cos my nimbus is strong, and k-close here before venue-changing."

See what happens.

The advantage is you can do it in front of people, and 98% will have no idea what the fuck you're talking about. Say you're at a bar and two really hot girls come up behind you and start hovering. Your pal, who sees them, says, "Holy shit, two super hot babes. I want to fuck them sideways!"

If they heard that, you have blown yourself out. The set is FUBAR'd, to use military slang.

On the other hand, if he said, "Holy shit! Two SHBs. Totally f-closeable. Your move, I'll wing!"

They wouldn't give it a second thought even if you were talking right in front of them.
