Totally agree with Hypnotica about the clear definitions of inner vs. outer game.
I think of Inner Game like ballast on a ship. It keeps you upright and moving forward no matter what happens, and no matter how bad the storm. It means that instead of reacting to other people and their opinions of you (real or not), YOUR opinion of you is what matters.
There are a number of effective ways to strengthen your Inner Game and build your self-esteem. I think Hypnotica's stuff is excellent (and I don't even like hypnosis.
I have found great benefits from my work in physical training and meditation and mindfulness. Personally, I find affirmations and hypnosis, while effective for others, don't work well for me because even after years of meditation, I still have trouble sitting still and find I focus better when my body is engaged.
Check out Hypnotica's site, and my site. As for other resources, I've also heard great things about Magnus's Inner Game Tapping (EFT).
Take it easy.
