Give the guy some credit. It is pretty creative. I do think... that in the hands of an experienced PUA.. it would be lethal.

Whacking... I repeat *WHACKING* a girl with a bag does not demonstrate value, does not increase her interest in you. Indeed it does the opposite of both. It does however create an excuse for you to talk to her. If you're that desperate to make an excuse that you'd violate norms of politeness, and act so... immature just to create a situation where she seems to be approaching you not the other way around, then you're not going to have the ability to escalate the conversation, or achieve anything here.

Forgive me for being longwinded, but I think you'll understand my point.

Furthermore, as for a "legitimate excuse" to approach a girl, a dead cellphone is a great excuse. I'm writing a post about that opener, put it online in a second.
