So the first two times i've gone downtown after getting into the PUA game, i've done a great job approaching sets, but my mid-game and kino was rubbish, so the sets never developed.

last night i went downtown with a friend from out-of-state, and before i went i had a couple gambits in my head that i planned to use, and had a few kino ideas as well. i rocked my new sport coat, but i must admit, i was making excuses in my head b/c I have a stress related acne problem that started two days ago, which I havent had in a while.

we got downtown and the first bar we went to only had two sets with girls, one was a 9 set, the other was a 6 set. i didnt feel ready to open a set that big, so i didnt, and AA started building. we moved to the next bar b/c i felt we had shit all over that one. at the next few bars, i opened at least 6 or 7 sets, but nothing was working out, and i wasnt even attracted to most of the girls i was talking to. i was starting to get discouraged, but then we went to the last bar.

we grab drinks and then i see that my friend has opened a 5 set, 3 guys and 2 girls. i leave him to try his luck and go open another set, which also doesnt go anywhere b/c i dont disarm the blockers. finally i head back to where my buddy is, and i see that the three guys in the set have left, except for a beta looking AFC who is acting awkward. i walked over and realize that my friend is wasted, and is not picking up on the IOIs being sent his way by one of the girls, a HB7 if not 8. I start running gambits on the two girls, but i include the guy and get everyone laughing and i'm the center of attention, which was an odd realization for me b/c that wouldnt have happened even 3 months ago.

my target is the other female, a pretty blonde with an ideal body, i'd give her a 7 if not an 8, and i was relatively sober. she is throwing me IOIs left and right, but i play cool and watch my body language, amazed at how she is mirroring every move i make. i run a couple gambits that go excellent, but a little voice in my head is screaming to start Kino. i used a technique that i got from a poster on this site (i apologize but i havent been able to find the post again, or i'd give you credit). anyway, i do the thing where you put your fingers on her arm, moving them up and down while she closes her eyes. then she guesses the spot i touched her last and gets it all wrong. shes eating this shit up, getting all nervous and flirty. ive been focusing on her for several minutes now, and i see that my friend is basically passed out and the other girl in the set is getting bored and out of beer. as soon as i look at her she tries to get my target to leave, who resists her friend and gets those "id rather be with this guy than with you," eyes. i take her hand in a sensual way, and i tell her that my friend is having a get-together next weekend, but while i'm saying it, with her hand in my right hand and my phone in the other, she interrupts me and just starts saying her phone number. i punch it in and smile at her, so she lightly grabs the lapels of my sport coat and says "Call me. You're funny, i like you, please call me."

im so fucking thrilled that this game works for me, i'm never standing in the corner like a lame idiot ever again. i also realized that acne excuse i made earlier was total bullshit, if any of yall struggle with that, dont let it affect your game, girls wont care as long as you are smooth and collected.

I'm new at this too. I'm a little older than most guys here, and I have been with my share of ladies, but I wish to hell I had found PU when I was younger. What a difference it would have made in my life! Gla dit's working for you!

yeah man, i'm only 21 but i cant believe i just now found this, its a major improvement of my previous excuse for game. if you put it all into practice, even if you dont get it perfect it works better than whatever the other AFCs are using.

If it's just stress related acne it probably isn't that bad to begin with and you're in a dark bar with a bunch of drunk girls who probably aren't even going to notice so never let that bother you.

I never had acne very bad, thankfully, but, sometimes we all get those zits that stick out like the northern star at night...I hate it when I get a big northstar zit right about the time i want to hit the bars. It makes you really self consious, and that will reflect on your game. here's what I did, and i might work for you, depending on the severity of your problem... I went to the local drugstore (When my face was clear), and told the lady that my wife/girlfriend had sent me for some kind of "Blemish coverer, but I couldn't remember the name of it... "You know, to cover pimples and stuff like that"... She directed me to the rack where I found exactly what I wanted... Hope it helps...

well done, im just starting out to, can you tell me more about this kino technique aswel, since im pretty dyer at kino!!!! aso how were you opening the sets, opinion openers or just natural stuff or what?

well the kino technique i used is to get her left hand in yours, with the inside of her wrist pointing up. you tel her to close her eyes, and you slowly take your index and ring finger and touch her arm a few times. the goal is to get her to guess where you fingers were on her arm last. the beauty of it is, if she gets it right you can still tell her shes wrong. then you tell her that nobody can guess it right, b/c when you have your eyes closed it throws off your perception, or some shit like that.

i've been opening sets with the opinion-based opener, i run a bit about how i have an 11yr old newt that i never gave a name to (newts only live for 3-4yrs normally, and i really do have an 11yr old one!). i ask for the girl(s) opinions on what i should name it. if she gives you a stupid name, you can neg her by calling her a dork and asking her friends if shes always this nerdy. if she gives me a decent name, i take it into consideration and then i say that i was thinking about Issac, after Issac Newton. they always agree that its a good one, and its a mild DHV spike b/c it shows that I am more creative than them.

assuming the opener works out, i either run with whatever conversation naturally occurs, or i go into a Kino game if nobody has anything to say. next time i sarge im going to try to isolate my target after the Kino, and run The Cube.
