Hey guys,

I'm a waiter in a restaurant, and from time to time, it feels like girls might be giving me the eye and such, but if i a waiter, is it cool for me to ask for thier number, or use routines on them at all? or would the fact i'm a waiter put them off?

I know about 5 HB7+ girls that are messing around with waiters....and more that go eat at specific places just to see a certain waiter.

so NO it's not a big deal.

just be careful not to come off as creepy, and dont let your boss find out you are hitting on girls on the job.

I've been a waiter myself and I'll tel ya, if you work in a cool place where young hotties frequently come to, it's the chance of a lifetime to meet them HB's! All you gotta do is be smooth. Do things with a subliminal message but never be direct, so like that you can send your message trough, be mysterious and at the same time not have the risk of getting fired or anything like that!

Just a caution tough. You're allowed to send mixed signals but be careful about the customer's signals. I once was attending a table with a guy and a girl and I tought I was hitting it off with the girl.
When I came to clean their table up (after they were gone) there was a napkin with a name and a phone number.

Unfortunatly it was the guys number.

I am a waiter aswell. The only thing Ive done to a cutie was be entertaining enough for me to let her know where Im heading after work, I saw her there but she had a bf next to her and I didnt isolate (a learning experience i had to work on)

If you do get talked to by your boss, and there are other places to work, tell him to kiss your ass, because he will have a harder time finding a replacement than you will in finding a job.

Also, women of high social level won't follow through because they think they are above you.

The downside is that if you flop, the girl could complain to your boss.

The bonus would be that even though you might not close, you would most likely bump up your tips a little.

yeah thats what i was thinking lol. might be able to bump tips lol.

and i wasnt really asking if the waiter thing was cool, i was asking if it was ok for a waiter to ask for a girls number.

Everyone is replaceable... you are no different and big companies (even small) realise this. They will have to train a new person but in the current economy there are plenty of people looking fora jobs.

One of the waiters at my old work used to flirt the hell out of all customers. Thats the way, according to him, to get tips. Sometimes when i went out with him I saw him with some of these girls he flirts with. Everyone at work knew he was a player but he got tips and had happy customers... Just dont be freakay

yeah man, i'd love to be able to get tips like that man. the pay aiint too good, but sometimes the tips can be real good. other days you dont get nothing.

When I was a dub, at a used-to-be-fun-to-work-at chain restaurant, I would see couples come in. If they were obviously a couple, before I brought the check, I would fold a cocktail napkin from the bar into a paper rose.

I would set the check down with the rose, and comment how "You two make such a great couple!" Without fail, i would get double my normal tip.

When I ran the happy hour food table, I did the same thing and always got a $10 tip, in 1994, when $10 was like $20 today.
