First post here. Hello all!

So I run my typical game on an HB9 at a bar. Towards the end of the night I asked how we can continue our conversation, she said facebook. Turns out she's already my facebook connection. She and I had met many years ago in highschool and havent seen eachother since earlier this week at the bar. Cool.

So the day after I send her a facebook message. See below for response. Need your input on where I can take this:


ME: you're totally fun, i want to chill with you again for a bit! this thursday i'm going to a holiday cocktail party at a firm i used to work for. their studio is downtown, starts around 7. i want you to come with me.

HB9: Hi my moms bday is this thurs so i wont be able to make it but perhaps another time?


Her replying is a huge IOI. She left the door open for me, so that's another IOI. And the smiley face is also another IOI. Her logistical block sounds real. She wouldn't lie about her mom's birthday, I think. I do have another cool holiday party that I can invite her to on Saturday night. Just not sure how to mention it without being needy. So how should I follow up with this? I don't have her # so I can't call or text.
