I think this is funny, but I'm not sure about it.

When she says what, turn away from them while lifting your shirt/jacket, and ask, "do these jeans make my ass look fat?"

Now I think that's funny, but I'm not sure how it'd work. I think it's kind of like Mystery's "too bad I'm gay" disqualifier. Funny, but not sure I could pull it off.

Opinions? I'm just kicking it around, I might try it for the hell of it.

Oh, and one of the reasons I think it's funny is that I get compliments on my ass. If I actually HAD a fat ass, then no, not so funny.

Why not, seems fine to me. Just be sure that you don`t have fat, ugly ass cause nice male as is big turn on for girls!

It could work. It might not work. Who the hell knows until it is field tested? If you say anything in the right way it can work.

My question is where do you go from there? It's fine if it opens, but then you have to transition it somewhere. Make sure you thought far enough ahead.

Actually, kind of funny you mention that. I was thinking about this opener when I went out tonight, and thought the same thing - where do I go with this?

I thought maybe I could turn it into a neg, by after she replies "no, you don't look fat in those pants", saying "gee, I wish I could say the same for you". But I think that might be a little harsh.

I think I'll put this one on the back burner for a while, till I come up with a better direction to take it in.

I actually had good luck with a HB8 bartender tonight by using an opener I came up with on the spot relating to the situation inside the club, it got a laugh out of her and got a conversation started that ended with her telling me to come by tomorrow so she can buy me a drink.

proper delivery (ie playful) will be the key dude.
if you dont go in with energy and an extremely playful and fun attitude then you'll just look stupid or even worse, come off as insecure.

Ehh just seems a little cheesy to me. Your opener should be very natural, your not trying to pick her up she just happened to be there and you happened to have a question. Although sometimes a good cheesy pick up line will work as long as its obviously a joke. My favorite is to walk up to her, pause and look around the bar, and then ask "Why did you invite all these people? I thought it was gonna be just us."

Shows a hell load of confidence if you do it. But its kind of begging for a negging you see. I like the reversal in there though. What will she respond for this??? And I disagree with a few posts up. Its good to post some un feild tested openers to get some feedback for the beginners.

OK so, problems with this. If you're actually fat, her first impression is you're unattractive. if you're beautiful, she's gonna think you're stuck up and showing off, trying to get her with your bod. Either of these is just going to be playing catch-up for the rest of the interaction. But.... If you're a happy middleman then i think you could pull it off as just being funny as long as you drop it really quicklike after the opener and move into a different topic, cause i really don't see that conversation going anywhere.

I think it could be a good line, just don't use it on a girl you think is insecure about her own ass. Usually a girl uses that line when shes insecure about her ass.

Perhaps you could put a cool patch on the back of your jeans that would trigger a certain reaction or something.

In the UK, we had a comedy sketch show called The Fast Show where the catchphrase of a particular female character, who could be a newsreader one week, then a traffic warden, barrister etc the next, at the end of her sketch it always ended with her asking "does my bum look big in this?"

guarantee it would work especially in a c&f way but make sure she isnt sure if ur joking or not because it could go either good or bad depending on if she is sure ur kidding or if she is sure your serious.

I think it's a mediocre opener. It seems it might be harder to transition that opener than others I've used.
