I'm VERY new to the community (been reading the forums for less than a week, just finished reading The Game by Neil Strauss, watched all of VH1's The Pick-Up Artist on-line) but I'm not exactly starting from square 1 either... Anyways, I had what I think is a great idea, so I thought I'd share it and maybe get some feedback.
From what I understand of the Mystery Method, a major component of the game, and the main reason behind throwing negs, is to keep the target from viewing you as someone who is trying to get in her pants - that is, to disqualify yourself as a possible suitor. So, with that goal in mind, this is the piece I just came up with...
<b>THE PURITY RING (Version 1)</b>
I was hanging out with a girl I used to work with, and she asked about a ring I was wearing. The ring had no special significance, it was just for peacocking (not much, but every little piece helps) but girls want everything to have a special significance, so I thought I'd have some fun with her. FYI, it was a pinky ring of a snarling wolf's head. Looks badass.
Mako: It's a purity ring.
girl: really? (if you've got your image down right, she won't believe you, as you should look like a person who is down to get dirty)
Mako: Yeah. Not a lot of people know that wolves are monogamous animals. Once they mate, they're paired for life. (I went into more bullshit details. Any bullshit story will do, but you should have one ready ahead of time. The more details, the better.)
I've only used this the one time, but we were making out by the end of the night. I think of this as similar to the routine Mystery gave to Style in The Game, where Style approached a woman with "If I weren't gay, you'd <i><b>so</i></b> be mine." It doesn't matter if you say something earlier in the night that disqualifies yourself as a potential sexual partner. If your actions speak louder than your words, odds are she won't call you out on it. If she does, tell her you were just having some fun with her, and neg her for being gullible.
<b>THE PURITY RING as a neg</b>
AFC: That's an interesting ring, does it have a story? (common opener)
HB: (her answer doesn't really matter, although you could respond to it if its interesting, I suppose)
AFC: Oh, okay. I thought it might be a purity ring or something like that.
HB: What? Why would you think that?
AFC: Well, you've got this good girl vibe going on. Like, you're trying to hide it, but not doing a very good job. And...(other bullshit you might add on specific to her ring)
HB: NOOooooo, it's not! (if she goes on and on about how its not a Purity Ring, and starts qualifying herself, or trying to shake the good-girl image you gave her, it means she WANTS you to see her as someone who is sexual, a clear IOI)
Feedback? Other techniques for disarming the target?
