ok so we all know that a lot of material is super played out such as: who lies more, jealous gf opener, the best friends test, etc.
some people think these are super played out, and because of the pick up artist on vh1, arent usable anymore
but my question is this: is it still usable on younger girls?

let me explain, im 18, and to the best of my knowledge, most members on here are older than i am (with some exceptions of course)
the few times i have used this, none of the girls have ever heard the routines before, and have never called me out on it

so basically, does the age of the girl determine the likelyhood of how well an overused routine will work (without getting called out for it)?

and even as im reading this, im not sure if im phrasing it so what im asking makes enough sense

Age and location play a big difference on where these old routines will work or not. The thing about canned material is that you should only use these ones maybe on one or 2 occasions just to get a feel for opening. After that you should definitely write your own canned openers.

Yeah, in the US it is quite likely that people have seen Mystery on TV. In Europe it is less likely but there they might have read the Game.

And the younger girls are the more likely it is that they have been approached!

Where I am one can simply spew forth a chain of canned lines and routines and nobody would notice as almost nobody around here has even heard of The Game, Mystery, The Pickup Artist or anything related to the community, but then again nobody would be interested as you would need to be a very good actor for all of it to come off as congruent without a LOT of practice.

I'm not against using canned lines, routines, openers or whatever but they have to be congruent. Use canned lines etc that you invented, your own openers (my favourite being "Hi.") and your own routines.

By all means, feel free to use these canned lines and routines to get you used to things but I would not advise using them as a crutch.

I'm not saying don't use these things, I'm just saying only use them when they are congruent with your personality.

To answer your question: Yes, age will be a factor. The spin move is going to work a lot better on an 18 year-old than a 30 year-old. As for age having a factor in getting called out: I sincerely doubt it.
