Hey guys. I could really use some help. I know I could be doing so much more with my identity but I just don't know how. I'm a dentist, I play the guitar and drums in a band and write a lot of songs for us, and I used to be a writer.

I know this could be some serious DHV for me, I just don't know how to present it. My regular wing is an army guy, and he has some awesome stories that DHV the hell out of him. Relatively, I've got nothing. My band plays local bars, and other than having people dance and girls flirt, not much happens. Dentistry, while it should be impressive since I'm a type of doctor, really doesn't have stories that interest regular people. Joe Schmo coming in with a toothache and needing a root canal doesn't really impress anyone. I mean, I guess I could appeal to some emotion with a story about a young girl with cavities all over and how I restored her smile and she was so happy. Shit like that does happen, but it's still not that exciting, I don't think.

I'd appreciate any advice you guys could give me on how to develop and present this. Thanks.

If a girl asks you about what you do, you dont need to answer her right away by just saying 'im a dentist.' Thats doesnt lead into more conversation. You can start messing with her and tell her your a professional hop scocth player or a freelance parellel parker. one that i use all the time is that i pack parachutes for skydivers so you know im very trusting. You have to be really C&F about it cause the point of these is to make a joke, get people laughing, somthing to talk about and to stil keep yourself shrouded in mystery. The important thing here is to act like your job is awesome but you dont want to talk about it .
After you deleveer these dont answer with what you do still, if your doing well and she is still intrested she will ask you again. Now you can deliver what you do in a really cool amusing way. Instead of just saying 'im a dentist' say 'I run my own medical practice' or somthing. This still leads her to ask at least another question which is what you want cause thats an IOI. You want her to be interviewing you.
