Hi

I chatted up a girl at a nightclub a month ago. We have ben dating since then. We meet once or twice every week. Last Sunday she visited me. Yesterday she called me and invited me home to her on Friday. On Friday she will cook a special dinner for me.

I suppose this is in the beginning of a serious relationship. She said yesterday that she will buy some plants to decorate my flat with.. And this girl will go made if I go out with another girl

So I thought it might be a good idea to bring some wine? I have a bottle of champange in the fridge, not sure if it's a good idea to bring champagne... On the hand I don't drink much wine. Only beer. But this girl prefer wine. Don't think it's romantic to drink beer or water on a romantic dinner

any suggestions?

i'd say bring the wine then, just cuase you don't like it doesn't mean you can't do it for her. Or the champange, tho i'm not really sure of the difference between them 2, but then again its such a small thing to worry about what to bring.

champagne is pretty much a wine, but with bubbles. I'd say wine is more typical for this kind of situation.

This will depend on your culture and where you are right now. In Europe, it's more common to drink champagne (also known as prosecco or sparkling wine) before a nice meal, so if you're there it may not be a problem. However, it's not so typical in North America. In general, I wouldn't bring champagne unless you're celebrating something, but I suppose you could use as a way to impress her with your cultural knowledge if you did.

Personally, I think you'd be better off asking her what type of food she's making and buy a nice bottle of wine that'll go with it; if you're not sure, ask the guy at the wine shop / liquor store. Save the champagne for a special occasion...

in the UK champagne is more a celebration thing, I would say go with white wine if it is white meat and red with red, this way the flavours compliment each other. As for types a shiraz or pinot grigio always go down well. Blossom creek whites are good and not too tough on the wallet.

I would say that you could bring any kind of wine... Or something else. If she cooks for you then maybe you could arrange the dessert. It is no DLV to do that, you will also enjoy it...

Right now I not sure if I need to bring anything. I mean that I've been in touch with this girl and she said she already have 2 bottles of wine in her house for our dinner.... I could on the other hand bring some dessert but I'm not that good chef.. I suppose the girl already have made plans for dessert

I think I'll bring some chocolate which we can feed each other with later in the evening

Bring a chocolate dessert and Kahlua/Bailey's to pour over it or something. ^__^
Then you still get the booze in too.
