First time posting
Well I have been using my openers and talking with girls but today in the grocery store I saw a type of girl that I have been wanting. Kind of like a girl of your dreams, she wasn't mine but very close. Anyway I thought of one of my openers to use but I couldn't get my myself to walk over and chat. When I was in the checkout line I just kicking myself for not going over. As I was leaving I saw her in another line checking out. STUPID STUPID STUPID! I guess I have to learn from my mistakes.

Ah Approach Anxiety.
Happened to me today too.

It happens to any of us, all the time.

First rule is the Three-Second-Rule, if you don't make an approach within three seconds of spotting the target, you won't. You'll talk yourself out of it.
I personally find counting 'One, Two, Three' as I zero in on my target helps me overcome AA. It keeps my mind busy and when I start talking it's easy.

So in short, you didn't make it, but that's life.
You'll do better next time.

like Miss Cinny said definate case of AA. Best advice for now. Start doing random aprroches and openings. You need to get rid of AA. Another thing grocery stores are good places to to pick up girls at. You come under the radar more. I had a case where i was at a Ralphs and i was getting thanksgiving stuff and i spotted a HB8 and a HB6 in the same aisle. Well i grabbed 2 ham chunks and walk over to them.

NonStop:Quick Question.
HB8: yes?
NonStop: if you where cooking for 6 people Which one of these ham would you get?.. i'm Quite baffled on the taste and quality.
HB6: um well which ones weight more?
NonStop:Um... let me see here hold this *hand HB8 the other Ham*
hmmmm..... ok switch out *hands HB8 the other ham
NonStop: i think this one is the blackforest ham, what kind is the one you are holding?
HB8: uh Honey glazed
NonStop: hmmmmm i guess i'll take the honey glazed

as i finish picking up i glanced at there shopping cart and neg them about what they had.

NonStop:.. dont tell me thats Your thanksgiving dinner? Microwavable food? Pretty unhealty
HB8: *smiles* well we dont know how to cook.
NonStop: serious? thats whats wrong with americanize girls these days. Just joking
HB6: so i take it you can cook?
NonStop: acutally i can, i come from a fine lines of Chefs , my Dad was a Chef in Hong Kong ( i start DHVing here) and i know how to cook many kinds of food.
HB8: Really? *looks very excited*
NonStop: hey Since it Just me and my roommates and this Ham can feed 6-7 people How about you girls come over and have Dinner with us
HB6& HB8: sure
NonStop: oh and one thing... you bring over the dessert. say like.. pumpkin pie and whip cream.
HB8: ok thats easy
NonStop: here put your # in my phone and i'll call you once i get everything ready. i need to get going and prepare.
HB8: ok *takes phone and put in Number* i'm chellsy by the way
HB6: i'm laura
NonStop: Nice meeting you to, i'll give you a call later *ejected myself*

Now i didnt give them my name nor did they asked lol. Worked out in the end.

Its quite easy to pick up at the Grocery store. Just need to work up on your AA.

What are the odds of seeing the girl again. Different time but same day (Tuesday) in the grocery store. I wasn't going to screw it up this time. I did take about a minute before I approached because an employee was helping her out at that moment. Anyway I walked over and she was talking to her friend about which pie to get.
Me: It's too hard to decide during the holidays get both.
HB8: (lol) Thats true it is real hard to decide during the holidays.
Me: Here is a hard one. Is khaki a color or fabric? My friends...ect.
HB8: I think it's a color. Because..... (She continues talking)
Me:(to her friend) Is she always this rude? Usually a girl would introduce herself by now.
HB8: I am not rude (smiling) (intro's take place)
She and I continue to talk she is giving me lot's of IOI's
(Her friend also talks but not much)
Me: Well I need to....(I take a step back and she steps towards me and engages in more conversation)
We talk longer.
Me: Well I need to get going but my friend are going to have a party next week and your welcome to join. Let me get your phone number.
(She starts nodding yes takes a breath then pauses then says)
HB8:Well....It depends on what my fiance says....being pregnant and all.
She pushes in her shirt and sure enough she is pregnant (She looks like she is 110pds wet I had no idea) We chatted a little longer.

The funny thing is, is that if her friend wasn't there, she would have given me her number.
So no phone number but a "HELL YEAH" for getting a second chance and not blowing it.

Glad to hear you didn't blow it the second time, that means you're improving, and you almost got an nclose. ^__^
Next time, work on disarming the Obstacle (her friend) but a VERY good start.

Could you explain "disarming the obstacle". It was an older neighbor of hers. She kind of stayed out of the way.

Basically you need to flirt with her friend too, show her friend you're a cool guy. Lot's of DHV, show preselection (talk about your female friends to prove you're no creepy). Once you start getting IOIs from her, then she is disarmed and you can proceed with your target.
It's one of the hardest parts about opening a two-set.
