Posts: 2 | | Me and my buddy (who is my usual wingman) have the same exact first name (charles). Many times at a bar or a club when we're talking to a set and introduce ourselves we get a reaction like: "what! you guys have the same name! no way!" It seems to catch them off guard and gets them interested. Several times we've been asked to pull out our id's and prove it.
I'm convinced that there are some really good openers that can come from this but haven't been able to come up with anything groundbreaking.
Any ideas?

Posts: 2 | | I wouldn't use it as an opener as the transition possibilities aren't great, and the thread isn't that interesting beyond the initial remark.
Instead when it comes up, use it as a general routine: Neg them for not believing you, DHV story about all the hot girls you had being dishonest, cold read them about their not believing you, route to your wing, use it to find out their names, etc.
