So tonight I'm going to test a new opener. Im wondering what you guys think.... "Is it weird that I still wash my hair with baby shampoo?" Im thinking this opener can lead to the touching of the hair setting me up for Style's neg... "whoa, hands of the merchandise" What do you think?

I personally think that would work better than a direct question... cause it seems to already come across as a pickup attempt, rather than being natural.

I agree you are forgetting a fundamental of building an opener and that is if you are using something indirect you need to ground it. By grounding it you usually say something along the lines of "The reason I ask is....."

Like BlackVenom said I'd use "I need a female opinion....I can only stay a second because I'm here with friends....Is it weird for a grown man to use baby shampoo?" Before the answer immediately go to "The reason I ask is that I still use it from time to time because.....(insert whatever reason)"

above all else just have fun with your new opener, try to keep in mind how many sets hook because of the opener.

The biggest question I have is do you know where you are going from here? What are you going to stack it with, meaning what are you saying after this?
