Went out on Friday hoping I would work up the courage to open a set. But I didn't. My friend would open sets and I could jump in just fine, but had to much AA to open my own. Went out the next night and we promised each other to split up this time. Took me about 5 minutes to find a set and then I saw three girls just standing there looking bored (2 hb8's and a hb9.) I thought to myself... 3 second rule. My heart started pounding because I knew I had to do it. So I did. I stumbled over my words so bad opening, but recovered quickly. Heres how it went.

Me: Hey, do you girls live around here?
Them: blah blah blah
Me: Oh well I was just wondering because I'm looking for a place to get my hair cut.
Them: blah blah blah
Me: I've already been there, blah blah blah
Them: blah blah blah
Me: Do you think I should cut my hair like this or this
Them: Keep it like that, its hot!
Me: blah blah blah
Them: I'll cut it for you!
Me: How can I trust you, hahaha... Well you have nice hair so maybe I'll let you do it.
Them: Laugh, blah blah blah
Them: Picture time! *I put my arms around them, we all take a picture together*
Them: *look at it* thats hot!
Me: blah blah yeah

Then there friends from outside came in and took them away since they were going to a different place. I should of number closed but I wasn't thinking about it. After that I could go up and talk to people like nothing. Now I know the only way to conquer AA is too grow the balls and open the sets.

more will come in time.. but remember.. practice makes AA somewhat disappear.. we all have it.. but some know how to control it better..

Seems like you did really good for your first time opening. You got some negs in there. Next time though don't open with something like "you guys live around here?". Use a canned opener and practive it some, recite it in your head, get it down. Sarging is just like giving a speech, the better prepared you are the better you do.

I disagree with Rabble though, the opener doesn't matter so much, in fact, it was part of Finske's routine! He only wanted to know if they're living here because he cared about his hair, that's neat!

Great job. And take this, Here's how it works. We are scared to approach women, only because we don't know whats gonna happen. If she will ignore you, say fuck off... But, you will see, that if you approach alot of women, MOST will respond positively. Especially if you approach correctly. So, inside your mind becomes familiar with approaching women. To the point where its not a scary unfamiliar, unexpected event thsat speeds up your heart rate!. So there is nothing to fear. But this only happens when you open sets. almost every day. It will get to a point where a girl will say fuck off, and you will just not care. because you've had way more positive responses. And its rare for women to respond in that negative way, unless ur in a club or something.
