Sometimes when convo gets a little dry, I ask her "what do you think of my necklace?".
The necklace is a black stone recklace and the typical response is its very surfy/beach type or its a bit of a girls necklace, which is fine with me.
My DHV story (which im not happy with):
"I got it while travelling to New Zealand, where a Maori friend of fine bought it for me and apparently it symbolic of culture or knowledge"
This is bullshit btw (although I have been to New Zealand)...and Iv received mixed responses with this DHV story. Can anyone give me some advice or use something totally different?
Cheers
First of all, if you say to her "What do you think of my necklace?" You are baiting her into convo so you can DHV yourself. It looks a little more try hard.
I would simply say, "I'm reminded of the this time I went to New Zealand, and insert short story about your trip 2-3 minutes, and this Maori friend of mine bought this for me to remember my trip by."
During the 2-3 minute short story can we mention a girl you met or hung with to DHV preselection or something along those lines. You need to add more to this. It doesn't have to be entertaining just interesting.
