Ill catch you up.

With a set, going well, eating out of my hand, lock in, make-out with target.

So, im in, right? Wrong, she's all "lets have a dance" and i like a fool, except. See, we can all dance when were drunk, but sober, not so easy right?

Well we get up, and bust a move, the thing is i feel realy self-concious about dancing when im sober, but not just me, every guy on the floor looks like there making tools out of themselfs, and even though im with a real nice, hot girl. The feeling of stupidity dosent go away.

Because im pre ocupide with my own thing, i telegraph my mood to the target with body language, and things cool down. Then i cant recover from it and lose the target.

This happen to any of you out there? And is there any advice you can give to me.

This may sound like an obvious answer, but have you tried learning how to dance?

I always feel like a prick when dancing but I try to block it out. It's not easy though, I'm trying to learn how to dance and get confident with it.

Women relate sex to dancing. Not exactly conveying your sexuality are you? Its a waste of time bothering to peacock and give yourself an avataar to convey your sexuality if you cant display it on the dance floor. You know what i did? I put on some typical club music on my ipod, stuck them in my ears at full blast and just randomly danced in my room about 4 times a week for about ten minutes. Not to improve as much - to get familiar with the concept of expressing myself through movements which didnt involve punching (Im a fighter).
PU is about improving aspects of ones life. In ALL areas. The club should be your domain. your property. Not your dojo to practice in as mystery says. You own the fucking place. Why feel uncomfortable with it? Listen to music more.
Generally, dance music has 4 beats to a bar and 4 bars and then it changes its tone or w/e. Count them in your head. This way you would be able to tell when the music is going to change. and you can predict and count when your backflip will be or w.e - that was a joke bdw dont learn backflips for the dance floor.

Actually going out to a dance class or whatever is something ill get to in my second year of pua, not my first couple of months. Though it would solve the problem.

I play music constantly and whenever I'm moving around doing stuff I'm usually dancing and sometimes I'll just dance for a while in my room like V1V said. It really got me comfortable with just being able to express myself by moving my body. I usually close my eyes and just go with it and don't even care how silly I look, cause I'm honestly a ridiculous dancer. Imagine mixing some stutter-step with liquid, a bit of moshing, random flailing and with partners I do some grinding, jive, 4-step, tango and other random shit. It's absolutely ludicrous, but I'm having fun and she just goes with it and smiles and laughs because she's having so much fun and she can tell I'm having fun and neither of us care how we may look.

If you think that women care how they look when they dance, then you haven't been really looking at the girls on the speakers, poles, cages or dancefloors. They are purposely looking like sex crazed fiends half the time and the other half they're doing ridiculous moves themselves. We dig it though! Guess what, they dig it when you just stop caring and do the same!

When you get on the dancefloor, just pretend you're all alone and first and then get right into dancing. Close your eyes if you have to. Once you're going a bit, look around and notice how crazy people are dancing and realise you can act like a lunatic and they wouldn't even notice cause you'd just look like another one of them. So just go with it and let their energy pump you up and give you freedom to really express yourself. If you're having fun and just going with it, not worried what she is thinking, then she'll be cool with it, regardless of what you look like.

Oh, I'd also recommend trying some karaoke. If you can loosen up enough to just have fun singing in front of a crowd of people, then you'll have no problem dancing.

Thing is, im into rock. and i can "mosh" but not dance. So is there any dance music or dance artists you would recomend downloading to listen to.

This is exactly what I did some time ago, and I ended up actually becoming a pretty good dancer - nothing spectacular, but enough to receive compliments and occasionally attract girls. Try to be in front of a mirror so you can see what you're doing wrong, and see if you can gradually move up from a basic dance that doesn't make you look lost to being able to adjust to the music and how you want to portray yourself.
