I think it's a lot of work to go through just to touch her on the wrist. I mean if it were her stomach or her tits then maybe...but yeah .

I have been field-testing quite a few different hug routines lately and I've learned (or I have hypothesised) that girls have an in-built instinct to respond to you opening your arms out for an hug, without even questioning it. Even if you beckon them to hug you as an opener, they'll flinch if nothing else.

But i've never been rejected so far on a hug. They love it. I just have a massively confident and careless frame and just open my arms out wide. Then rate their hug as like 5 out of 10, and ask them to do it again (inform them they're lucky to be hugging you, and this time the hug will be much more intimate).

The pulse idea is creative though. Keep 'em coming buddy.
