What is the best way to go to a random party with some friends and attempt to pick up some girl and begin talking them by myself?

Dude to be honest you have to just be a social person. There is nothing wrong with just approaching a woman in the right way and starting a conversation. The best advice I can give is that you make sure it is a total stranger that you are approaching, because I can gaurantee you that you are going to have alot more questions and more to talk about. Also any kind of accessory you could wear as far as rings, or maybe a shirt withs something that really catches her attention would really work for you. Also you know alot of guys don't prepare for a night of going out. I find its always a lot better to hang out with a couple of your friends before you go out to get yourself loosened up and in the talkative mood. Also having something interesting about yourself is very important. for instance maybe your a fighter or a hockey player, football player etc. You get what I mean. parties and clubs require a higher amount of social proof then other type of venues. i would suggest rolling with a big group, or if possible, with girls of your own. that makes a very big difference because other girls will now want to be part of your group and/or find you particularly interesting.
