Ricky well I know this is going to sound corny, but I would just be yourself, but be like entertaining you know? Be enthusiastic when you approach her, so you won't seem like a creep (it sucks when you do) . I've personally found language openers tricky, but if it works for you nice. Don't go with a wheather opener like EVER.

Regarding it as an IOI or just as another guy, next time she does it I would make a joke out of it "Like do you have to smile at every single guy that walks by girl" (neg & CF) btw i haven't fielded this so be warned. and then open up from there. Or just go about it the brute force way and say Hi I'm Ricky I've seen you work here blah blah blah.

Works perfectly fine as something to say to her right off the bat, cause she's busy and it communicates a lack of time to talk. For anyone who thinks in terms of MM stuff, that's basically a false time constraint if you want to use lingo (which I don't, but just in case you do).

Also, there's absolutely nothing wrong about talking about the weather, I do it all the time and it works just fine. It IS fucking hot outside. It IS about to rain and I can prove it, cause I get migraines from the pressure variance that occurs before it rains (that works really well actually).

If you're lookin to break the ice theres a couple openers I'd recommend.

-The do you have to smile at every guy one already mentioned

-If she's cleaning like you said look over get eye contact focus on whatever it is she's cleaning and say you missed a spot. It'll break the ice.

-Or if you make eye contact with her.. keep it and walk up to her and say kinda in a soft voice "Ya know you can't just keep looking at me without saying something"
