Looking for some general advice here:

When you have maybe the hottest girl in a group, or perhaps the only one - Im talking more of a group you will spend perhaps most of a night out with, or perhaps classmates at college or collegues at work.

I am quite good at controlling myself and while others are falling over themselves to impress the only or the most attractive girl in a group, I can act uninterested, make comments every now and then and sometimes just look away at something else when she is addressing other members of the group close to me.

But what happens to me in these situations is sometimes, I appear cool at the start like I dont care, maybe a little too much and someone ends up hooking up with her - who I consider myself having higher value and position in the group than and far more capable of hooking up with the girl than.

Any advice how to come across the way I want but still not completeyl uninterested - I mean like not falling over her like I think shes the shit, but not blanking her so she thinks im not interested.

Basically, get her interested by acting cool to the point were she shows obvious interest and I can work with that.

Basically im looking for subtle ways of building attraction without being all in the girls face.

Amog the guys, DHV to the whole group, cold read etc.
