This is my first field report. The reason I am posting about this is because I think it illustrates some key principles; namely, that the "PUA lifestyle" or whatever you want to call it is something that you need to project even when you're not sarging. Why? Well, primarily because you never know what opportunities might open themselves up, as the following example illustrates.
So I'm a total science nerd. However, I have learned to really use this as a DHV technique. So the other night, I met a girl I know (FYI, she is a friend I tutor, and is not at all attractive) at Starbucks because I am tutoring her for a biology course. The key thing here is that when I tutor, I make sure to use the types of conversational skills we so often hear about in these forums: I used lots of body language, my tonality was good, and I tried to make even the most boring details interesting.
Now, while I was tutoring, three HBs sat at the table adjacent to us. I didn't get a good look at them, because again I was not sarging, but at a glance these girls were 8s and 9s (Starbucks is infested with HBs in case you didn't already know).
So, without doing anything at all sarging-wise, I was greatly rewarded simply because of the things mentioned above: I DHV'd because I was tutoring, and therefore in a position of both knowledge and power relative to my student; and I employed the same types of converstional and body langauge techniques that I use when I am consciously trying to meet some new poon.
Anyways, I finished tutoring and left. The next morning as I was getting ready for class, I notice an index card in my backpack. On it were three names and three phone numbers, with the note "tutor us!" So I call one of them and get no answer later that day. I left a message saying my available times and what I charge. At about midnight, I get the following text:
HB: Hey. Sorry it took so long to respond. We actually aren't in bio we just thought you were really cute.
About 15 min. later I texted back with:
intron: In that case I'll see you at my halloween party friday, [time and address]
About 10 min. later:
HB: Great response. It might be helpful if we knew your name.
I had already given it to her in a voice mail, so...
intron: I already gave it to you....
and yadda yadda. She texted me a couple times today, I got at least one neg in, and I now have three more HBs coming to my party with virtually no effort on my part. All I did was enjoy myself while I was doing my job, and I was rewarded.
