Any advice or things I should specifically do or not do... any good lines?

My advice is to stay away from the normal boring questions. I went to a speed dating thing before I got into this PUA stuff, and thats all anyone ever talks about. If you stand out and be different and cocky/funny then you will have a great chance at getting the girls interest. At the one I was at, we had the speed dating thing, and then the group hung out at the bar all night. So if there is a girl that particularly sparks your interest you can talk her up again and run your usual game on her minus the opener.
Hope that helps

By going into DHV routines etc would take up all the time..
Any good suggestions?

I won't ask any real questions as you don't have time for them. Think of this as a job interview where what you say almost does not matter, but how you present and act/behaves will matter more. Because in those 3 minutes you are not going to have time to really do anything so physical looks and physical presentation matter a lot and will more than likely determine if there is a match or not.

When I did have some success I think 1) I was DHV in some ways, e.g. sporty chicks digged that I played football a lot etc. and 2) Being different, e.g. instead of the usual "so what do you do?" I was like "so [insert name], tell me about yourself" (like a job interviewer might say) or "who do you think's more annoying [some lame tv presenter] or [another lame tv presenter]?"
As it happens, I met a guy on one once (not like it sounds!) who I since became friends with and when we're in bars and stuff I've seen he's actually a natural.
