Depending on the size of the set it's important that all of them can hear you. For example, if this is a 3 set all of them need to be able to hear if you possible. If it's a 20 set they don't all have to hear you, just the immediate people close to your target.

Many times I just speak loudly, from the diaphram, if I'm able to carry my voice over the music. If they still don't hear me, I stand firm, and motion my finger for them to come closer so I can talk to them. After a few minutes of conversation take them some place quieter. Tell her you want to go someplace you can talk, and take her hand and lead her. You're the guy so you always have to be leading the interaction.

There will be times it's just too loud to open, or you won't be able to keep their attention. In my experience sets immediately close to the band watching them will be the hardest to open, but it is possible.

also remember, you never want to be "pecking" while working sets.

In a youtube video Lovedrop describes "pecking" as when you keep leaning in when you speak so that she can hear you. instead, you want to keep good posture, and even lean back if you can. when its loud, just talk loud, and if she can't hear you she will lean in to you. this will DHV to all hb's who are watching.

also, if you can't hear her, say something like "honey you are gonna have to speak louder if you want me to hear you. it's very loud in here"

honestly, i adhere to this so strictly, that if i have a girl repeats herself 2 or 3 times and i still can't hear her... i'd rather just pretend i heard her, then actually lean in. chances are, when you lean in you still won't understand what she's saying. so in these situations pretend you heard her, look away and then act like you just remembered something important and say something to change the subject. :)

wow... thanks. i now realize i have been a "Pecker" for a very long time, seeing as how this is not the first time i have been to one of these parties. usually its a band with about 200 or so people in that room and about 5 other rooms that are open to the party, unfortunately these are mostly filled with couples. even though i think it would really test my game, i would feel like an absolute asshole stealing a guys gf right out from under him.

on a different matter, if you havent already guessed this is a frat party and most of the guys all dress the same. same collard shirt with pfg shorts, sperrie deck shoes, costa sunglasses around thier necks and some sort of visor. they also all have long hair that they flip. i usually wear tighter faded jeans, dark wallabees, and a graphic or organic shirt. i have short hair that i usually spike.

should i wear the same as i normally do, wear a blend of what they do to fit in, or peacock (that would risk getting thrown out). lets remember this is a southern fraternity... if i act too different i might risk some trouble... :)
i can hold off a few of em... but they have me beat in numbers...

I agree with you, sometimes it's really annoing in a loud club to starta conversation. try to find some quite places like chillout-areas. it may be not that loud a t the bar...if there is not way out, you have to speak really loud...but still keep your smile! actually, clubs are'nt necessarily the best place to meet women, here's a cool list with places where you can meet some girls:

But it's about day-game, so you need confidence more than anything else.

I hate loud places.
It's such a DLV when you keep having to repeat yourself.

Also, you can't talk to a group of girls.
