Sometimes it can be tough to transition from a situation where you usually talk to a girl through texts to a situation where you two speak on the phone. Just calling her up can be a bit awkward for some. So here's the way that usually works for me.

While your texting her, bring up that you have a story you want to tell her. Then she'll probably ask what it is. Then you just call her and say that you didn't feel like typing it all out and proceed to tell your story (hopefully a dhv). Then just go from there.

Thanks mate, I actually just tried to call a girl i just number closed and it felt a little awkward. We started of texting and then I called. She cut me off quite quickly when I was talking to her but soon after the convo ended she continued to text me and it's still going on. I think I am going to try it.

i think that is a very nice tactic and i would like to see how it works when field-tested.

i agree with you that transitioning from text to phone calls is difficult sometimes. I've found that nowadays many girls will text you back after a #-close, but have to be VERY comfortable before calling you. it usually takes a few days of text game to make them comfortable enough talk on the phone. i know a lot of PUG's say to always call rather than text, but i think times are changing. my rule of thumb is... the younger she is, the more she probably texts with her friends, and the more text game you will have to use. the older she is, the less need there is for text, and the more likely she will be open to talking on the phone relatively early.

Sexcellent, I agree with what you said about the younger girls being more used to texts. I'm still in high school, and most girls do seem more comfortable with texts. Texting, however, can only take you so far, and I feel like it often limits the conversation too much.
I realized this a while back, but the problem was I could never make the transition. It would often end up like this:
Me: Hey it's Alabaster
HB: Hey
Me: So what's up?
HB: Uhmmm... nothing. Hey can I call you back later? (which translates to "hey this conversation is awkward. I'm gonna go now.)

But using what I said before, she feels less put on the spot by the phone call since you are telling the story for a few minutes and she just has to relax and listen to you DHV yourself. After you tell your story, she'll usually have something to say. If not, just continue with another story or routine.

Oh and by the way, don't drag out the call for too long. Always try to be the one that has to say goodbye first. It leaves her wanting more as opposed to wondering when the hell she can get off the phone and continue her life. Use a false time constraint just like you would if you were opening up a set.
