The only thing I can think of is find a wing or pivot who can occupy the obstacle.

Good point, maybe just concentrate more on mixed sets and 3 sets. But Damn it, there's ALWAYS 2 sets... I have managed to split up two sets. What's the deal with all the apologizing and asking for permission? You obviously haven't built up enough rapport with the cock block if you're begging your way out. Build RAPPORT first, then there are two ways to go:

1. YOU ANNOUNCE it: "Hey, I'm taking your friend. You'll be alright." Like it's just a natural fucking thing. Once you build rapport, DO NOT qualify your actions to them. You just start walking away with her as you say this. confidence. . .

2. Or you come up with some plausible reason. Don't even address the cock block. Something like, "Hey, come here and help me with some drinks."

Once you build rapport with the cock block, she'll drop the block and your girl will want private time with you. This is what THEY WANT. Give them what they want and don't be a wuss.

You are going to get objections:
