Help, need to know if this opener is funny, field tests preferred

It works. You need to remember, you can talk about absolutely anything, and as long as you speak with enthusiasm, it will get people interested.

Dental Floss opener (credit to Style) is a perfect example of this. However, depending on where you are, you may be caught out due to its mention in The Game. It's good that you rooted the opener, but be sure to use a false time constraint.

hmm.. i dont think this one is overly funny. its a lil humerous but the hotter the babe the less she will laugh. thats what i personally think

but killians correct. mos deff use some of your own material created. im sure you could find something funnier

i've used it a few times. normally i get a bit of a "what the hell?!" expression followed by them laughing. i've always at least gotten a giggle though.
as someone mentioned above, anything can sound interesting if its delivered right, in this case with enthusiasm. i used this opener on a night where i opened 25 sets to get over AA and had 6 girls come back to me later on, saying that it was the most random yet funny conversation they've had in a while.
the opener itself is capable of getting a giggle, but what you follow through with and your delivery is what will make it work or fail.
