laundry room pick up

Sunday, Oct. 5 2008. Early at 8 in the morning, I wasn't even planning to sarge. First pick-up wearing sweats and not brushing teeth. I decided to stay in the laundry room and study. I figure if I headed over to the library, I'd just myspace all day so I brought my books along. 10 minutes into reading. HB8 blonde walks in and takes her clothes from the washer into the dryer.

HB8: "Are you using these?" (refering to the dryer)
Casual: "I wanted to, but I guess you could use them."

HB8 smiles and leaves right after. I remain unaffected to her looks as I continue to read my books.

HB8 returns while I'm taking my clothes out of the washer into the dryer.

HB8: "Why won't this thing turn on!?"
Casual: "I would assume you would press the on button." (C&F)
HB8: "Smiles"
Casual: "Quick question, are you aircrew?" (navy job related opener)
HB8: "Yes, how did you know? Are you?" (IOI?)
Casual: "I could tell, you just have this certain personality trait about you (direct observation). You definitely seem too feminine to be a maintainer because you look like you'd have trouble turning wrenches and being oily." (neg) "What squadron are you in?"
HB8: "I'm still in school. You? And what's your job?" (IOI?)
Casual: "I'm in *******, and I'm an administrator (YN)"
HB8: Twirls hair (IOI), "Are you in school?" (IOI)
Casual: "Yea"
HB8: "Where do you go?"
Casual: "I go to **********"

We fluff talk for 5 minutes and I throw some negs in. I threw in 1 DHV story about college and goals. And she knows a couple of my friends (DHV for being popular/preselection from other females). Twirls hair about 3 more times. Number close.

Casual: Hey well, I enjoyed the chat but I really gotta go and drop this off in my car. Let me get your number and I'll talk to you later.
HB8: gives number.

Later in the day, to keep me on her mind, I text.
Casual: "Hey brat, it's ****** friend. =)" (familiarity) "This is my cell phone number. Save it under your cool list!"
HB8: "lol sounds good"

Number close with finesse! =)
