This is my first post and also basically an intro to the real community. I've been studying a lot with my best friend from videos on youtube and "The Game"( with that book alone Style has proven to be a great writer AND teacher) and have decided it's time to actually get involved.
When my friend first told me about the whole thing he said that I was a prime candidate because of the fact that I do a lot of the things PUGs recommend but I don't focus them. I want to change that. I peacock naturally. I work in a vintage clothing store. I also neg naturally, you know, backhandedly. I'm an artist and well traveled at 23. I'm a "quasi intellectual". ( Anyone understand my name reference?) I've never been into social norms. I don't approve of or understand how society or the people who make it up work........I'd like to learn though.
Last night I went on a "faux-sarge" ( I hope that's not a term yet). I've never been sarging and this was a bit set up. I was at a free roll poker tournament and my friend, Lenny, who's a natural, says " Hey, Goldmund, I just got a call and I'm gonna go meet 5 chicks downtown. You wanna come?"
Eager to try the things I've been reading about I pushed all my chips in the middle. Everyone folded. But I threw the game soon after. Poker is all psychology too.
Lenny is my PUG. He doesn't have theory though. He's like Dustin in the Game. he knows what works. He's an asshole. I'm not.
So We met the girls and I chose an Egyptian girl as my target. Little did I know that Lenny did too. But it was all good. I talked to all the girls but her first. I was introduced to them all at once though. I couldn't believe my confidence. I had been thinking about this shit all week. Talking to the other girls totally made the Egyptian jealous. But then I turned to her and in mid conversation with the group and tried the ESP trick. We had great eye contact. She chose 9 not 7. I got a little neg in that I don't remember around that time. Things went great as we talked. Now this I don't know about: At one point she pulled out her wallet and showed me a fake ID ( She was 20) but I didn't know it was fake. She asked If I thought she looked like the picture. I tried another neg and said " No, this girls a bit more attractive" The whole table groaned at me but smiled too. She turned to her friend and said " WOW, this guy's an ass hole!" That's when I found out it wasn't her. I didn't apologize but maybe do that wouldn't have hurt. I just laughed. I don't know if it was overkill or not.
I was starting to get drunk which I don't do much. By the end of the night I was wasted! She was really close to me, our legs rubbing and at one point she laughed really hard and put her head on my shoulder.
So we kept talking and she moved seats around and suff and this is where I really blew it. Lenny and another chick were talking about some guys ass. Which I knew but pretended not to know. I said " What, this ass?" and put my hand right on the Egyptian's. She gave me a very disapproving look and turned to talk to her friends. I blew it there and then. I asked Lenny for some help but he didn't know what to do. Fucking Naturals! She chose to be with Lenny the whole rest of the night. I was out of material since this was my first time and just went spiraling downward. Long after the Ass Incident a girl came up to me to talk about me wearing sunglasses at night. (Poker Peacocking) But I dropped her cause she wasn't my target. The girls asked me to walk them to their cars. They were pretty drunk too. Egyptian hugged me. I went home and drank half a gallon of water. I forgot to close my tab.....
If anyone know how I could have recovered, please let me know. I didn't beg for her attention but I couldn't get it later either. I wish I knew a line I could have used right afterwards. I also need more material.

Sounds like you established a decent initial connection with her.
I think you should drop the negs, and the ass grabbin'.. Especially regarding her appearance. Being thought of as an asshole isn't productive in my opinion.
And you should have asked her out on a real date the next week, etc.. if you were really interested in something other than drunk, sloppy sex cya next life with a virtual stranger. Just the two of you. Contrary to what you read, alot of girls just aren't interested in beddin' a guy they just met. Especially one that's an asshole.
I don't blame 'em.
