This is not the main problem though, most people i socialise with in my life at uni are PUA's and now i feel like quiting the game because i get so depressed about it. I worry about where this will leave me if i do leave the game. I am not improving and i cant continue to dedicate so much time and effort and get nothing out of it.
I dont want to go back to my old life because it was shit. Please help.

Did you ever play Nintendo or any other video games? What did you do when you lost? Hit reset and start over, right? This is the same. Keep trying, keep going, don't give up. If you're getting frustrated, take a break---go play sports or join a chess club or hang out with your friends at their place. Relax and rejuvenate your mind, then go out and sarge to your heart's content.
